I. Office Hours and Holidays


Note: In the case of an official hurricane warning, the Consulate General of Japan
in Miami will be closed.

Office Hours:

Regular business hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 12:30PM; 1:30 PM - 5:00 PM

Please note: The Consulate office is closed from 12:30-1:30 PM for a lunch break. Please come by or call during regular business hours.

  • Metered street parking is also available
  • There are additional parking garages in the area

  • Multiple Metromover stations are within walking distance
  • Metrobus lines 6, 8, 48, 248, and 102 Route B stop at the Brickell Metrorail Station

IV. Jurisdiction


The Embassy of Japan and each of the 16 Japanese Consulates serve a specific region within the United States. In general, the Consulate General of Japan in Miami can only service residents and visitors in the state of Florida. Residents of the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico are under the jurisdiction of the Consulate General of Japan in New York.
