Tohoku Pacific Region Earthquake: Safety Confirmation Services

On Friday, March 11, 2011 around 2:46 PM local time (12:46 AM EST), a 9.0 magnitude earthquake occurred off the coast of Miyagi Prefecture in the Tohoku region. On account of the earthquake's strength and ensuing tsunamis, there is significant damage. The Japanese government and affected municipalities are currently conducting a search and rescue operation.
