We are now accepting applications for the 2027 Japanese American Leadership Delegation to Japan.
Overview
The Japanese American Leadership Delegation (JALD) program provides the opportunity for a select group of Japanese American leaders from across the United States to travel to Japan to engage with Japanese leaders in the business, government, academic, non-profit and cultural sectors. JALD is sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and coordinated in partnership with the U.S. Japan Council (USJC).
How to Apply
Individuals selected must be able to travel to Japan from February 6 (Sat) - February 13 (Sat), 2027, and attend a mandatory orientation in Los Angeles on January 15 (Fri) – 16 (Sat) , 2027.
Applicants residing within our Consulate’s jurisdiction should submit applications to the Consulate General of Japan in Miami via e-mail by August 17, 2026.

Our office’s jurisdiction covers the state of Florida.
Once your submission is received, you will receive a confirmation email within two business days. If you do not hear from us by then, please contact our office at the email addresses listed above.
