Schedule

Application DeadlineFebruary 6th, 2022.
*All application materials must be received by the deadline. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered, even if postmarked beforehand.
Exam and Interviews date : February 18th, 2022.
* Only those who have passed the document screening.
*Exam and Interviews will take place in person at our office (Consulate General of Japan in Miami 80 SW 8th St. Suite 3200 Miami, FL 33130).

 

Summary of Qualifications and Conditions

(1) Nationality: American citizens
(2) Age: In principle, applicants must be born between April 2, 1992 and April 1, 2004.
(3) Academic Background:
・Applicants, in principle, must be undergraduates at foreign (non-Japanese) universities at the time of arriving in and leaving Japan
・Those who are majoring in fields related to the Japanese language and/or Japanese culture.
・Those who have studied the Japanese Studies at a university for a total period of one year or more as of September 1, 2022.
(4) Japanese Language Ability: Applicants must have Japanese language ability sufficient for receiving education at a Japanese university in Japan.
