In-person inverviews will be held at CGJ-Miami on the third week of June 2019.
Applicants must have been born on or after April 2, 1995 and have completed 12 years of school education or have completed courses in a school comparable to a high school. (Applicants who will meet the above qualifications by March 2020 are included.) Applicants must, in principle, be able to arrive in Japan between April 1 and April 7, 2020.
Duration of Program: 3 years including 1 year of Japanese language training (April 2020 through March 2023).
Preliminary Japanese-language training: 1 year.
Japanese-language requirement: Prospective candidates must be willing to learn and to receive specialized training college education in Japanese.

Scholarship Stipend: ¥117,000 per month.
*An additional monthly stipend of 2,000 or 3,000 yen may be provided to those undertaking study or research in specially designated regions.
Tuition: Tuition for national universities waived; tuition for public and private universities is paid for by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. Fees for the entrance examination, matriculation, and tuition at universities will be paid by the Japanese government.
Roundtrip fare (economy class air ticket) is provided from the nearest international airport to your home to Japan. Inland transportation excpenses are not included. Please note that the address you write on your application is considered your home address and the ticket will be issued for the airport closest to that address. You will not be permitted to change departure locations.
