The Consulate General of Japan is seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented candidate for the position of the Official Residence Staff of Consulate General of Japan in Miami.
 
1. Qualifications
   (1)Being fluent in writing and speaking in English.
   (2)U.S. citizen or Green card holder.
   (3)Being good at communication and capable of working as a team with other Official Residence Staff and consular members.
   ＊Having Basic skills of office work, including Internet search, Microsoft Word, Excel as well as Email communication is desirable.
 
2. Job Summary

(1)Attending/Serving guests as a butler at the official events (official lunch/dinner, reception, gatherings hosted by the Consul General) as well as assisting chef inside and outside of the Official Residence.
(2)Miscellaneous work at the Official Residence (ex. Cleaning, equipment management, dealing with contractors)

4. Start of contract
February 1^st, 2024
(With a probation period of 3 months before official employment. This is an annual contract, and renewal takes place every Japanese fiscal year.)
 
5. Conditions of Employment

  (1)Working hours: 7.5 hours a day from 8:30am-5:00pm with an hour of lunch break
  (2)Days off: Saturdays, Sundays, and other holidays which the Consulate is closed Occasional overtime work will be required for special events held in the evening or on holidays.
  (3)Vacation: Paid days off and sick leaves
  (4)Benefits: Healthcare and Dental care insurance, Workers’ Compensation
  (5)Salary is commensurate with experience (First month’s salary will be approximately $3,500). The Consulate will not discount and pay federal and other taxes from the employee’s salary so he/she will have to declare on their own.
